I know, I know, I shouldn't read Sherdog, but I found this in a Machida/Vera discussion:

"i agree. vera would dominate machida in all areas, except for striking and groundwork. is talking considered an area?"

Just watched last TUF episode last night... totally agreed with them giving Jesse the boot, but I'll admit I was feeling for him a bit in the interview after he got canned.

But man... the two fights they showed (CB-Amir and CB-Tim)... those were both DAMN good fights. I don't much like CB's personality but if that guy ever gets to a point where he doesn't gas out so easy, he'll be a monster. Very active and entertaining. Amir was one of the toughest SoBs I've ever seen and highly impressed me.

But I just gotta say... I completely thought Tim won their fight. He played smarter, was the better striker (lots of combos and aggression, also counter-punched beautifully) had overall great defense against a monsterous GnP game and threw in some great sub attempts. I guess I could see the fight *maybe* going to a split decision either way, but I was shocked by the unanimous call for CB. Personally, I thought Tim outright won rounds 2 and 3.

Oh well, they were both pretty amazing fights and I'm sure Dana will give all three (Tim, CB, Amir) their shots at the league, no matter who wins TUF. And yeah, it's pretty damn cool when he gives fighters bonus money just for putting on exciting matches. =)

Wish the fight would have been longer, but I'm glad Amir won. Hands down my favorite fighter from this season/show. Great guy.

Impossible not to pull for Amir this season.

So, will he ever actually fight at 185 in the UFC besides tonight? Dude looks like he could make 155 even, 170 should be cake.
