| I am interested in seeing more of Goran Relijic. He almost looked like a mini-CroCop out there. He was throwing the same stuff over and over, but he was good at what he did. He is very young too, so he has time to add more variety to his game. Would be fun to see a head-kicker shake up the LHW Division.

+4 Internets | I'll agree that the Tito and Machida fight was boring, but 1/2 that is at the feet of Tito. He was much more passive than Machida was. He threw and landed less strikes and then just stood there taking shots instead of evading like Machida does. Machida's style is totally viable and not "running away" in the slightest. He evades and exploits openings. When coupled with old washed up Tito it was boring. But it's a smart game plan, unlike Shawn Sherk's stand there and get jabbed in the face then try to counter punch a retreating BJ who already has 3' inch reach advantage. Also, on Tito's "close submission" at the end, he never even had it. Like someone said, if you watch Machida's shoulder is out and his arm is pinned across his head. Then when Tito tries to transition into the armbar, the arm is the wrong way with the bend of his elbow turning into Tito not out. I agree that it would be very interesting to see him v.s. Wanderlei. I think either Machida would pick him apart piece by piece, or Wanderlei would run him over. Doubt there would be any middle ground in that fight. P.S. Someone mentioned something about Machida being sick during that fight. Is that confirmed? I noticed during the match he really seemed out of sorts, it was subtle but noticeable. |

+22 Internets | It was me, he stated in an interview that he became very i'll a day or so prior to the fight and the second round he had no energy. After the fight he went to his brother and said to hold him up since he could barely stand.

That was the first thing that came to mind is that Goran probably didn't even have 50% of his power, which is expected because I doubt we will see anyone with near Crocop attributes for a very long time. He looked good though. And have to give credit wheres its due, homsar called the Machida/Tito match. I don't know who can beat Machida now. Hes good in the clinch as seen in the Sokodjou fight, not just good but absolutely tooled a judoka. It sounds cliche and ambiguous, but I guess the only way Machida is getting beat is if he "gets caught". Id really like to see how he does against a boxing brawler like Rampage, who knows if that will ever happen though. Machida would have beaten Chuck, good thing that got called off.

Theres your problem, there is no where to back Machida into. During the Tito fight I kept saying if this was a ring, he would be on the ground already. Tito just couldn't get his hands on him in the cage. Machida knows how to use the cage very well, hes got awareness at all times. A brawler would just gas out swinging for the fences while Machida avoided him.
