Don't be a hypocrite man. I stay out of stupid ass arguments 99 times out of 100, but I can't stand hypocrites.
Just because you practiced something doesn't mean you can't be a spectator of another aspect of the game. Im not sure what you are getting at.

It looks like you missed the point. It was a very dominate performance by GSP of course, he used his wrestling and cardio to grind him down. Im a sean sherk fan, and I love the way he completely controls a fight. Sherk never had the title of MMA god, striker, etc. The people accept Sherk as he is.

GSP, on the other hand, has all this hype, he destroys Hughes in the stand-up. Blows through him and submits him. It looked like he was back to the GSP that we all heard about, read about, and watched previously. Then instead of using all aspects of his game against Serra, he just goes to the ground immediately..

However this fight had different shit riding on it. GSP was talking a HUGE game. His head was bigger than ever. I expected some stand-up, and GSP was obviously too concerned about getting KO'd to deliver a true MMA god spectacle. Which is what Serra predicted.

It doesn't take confidence to shoot takedowns, it takes serious confidence to exchange on the feet. Look at what happened to Starnes. One crack in your mental game, and you will be on your bicycle running from the pocket. Is anyone with an I.Q. over 100 getting this yet?

Someone quote me and let this douchbag know hes been called out. Chances are hes just another troll talking shit though.

Sorry, GSP is just behaving like Tito lately, using superior cardio and strength to grind people down. This sport is entertainment, I want to see more stand-up from GSP because we all know hes capable of it.

You really are a fucking internet tough guy loser. Jesus Christ.

Open your eyes kid, you are disgustingly bias.

He called me out, I called him out. Fairs fair. I could have pulled the internet toughguy card with him, but instead I thought "hey maybe hes a real guy". So I offered to do whatever, heavy sparring or otherwise.

Ill say Im not very professional. Thats about all I will concede to you.

Grind people down with cardio? It was the second motherfucking round and Serra was the Welterweight CHAMPION.

Jesus Tittyfucking Christ....

Im sure there are athletes out there that can gas their opponent in the first round. Its all about the intensity of the action that will disrupt breathing rhythm.

Okami is another guy that likes to drain gas tanks. Watch Okami vs Swick for a clinic on how to gas someone. Tito, as already mentioned was great at doing that. Dan Henderson tried to mess with Silva's gas tank in round 1 by smothering/ pretending to try to change positions. Silva was breathing pretty heavy when the bell rung.

Just watching GSP's relentless work on the ground, I was like oh fuck Serra is going to gas.

Some people make it a part of their game plan.

You're an idiot. You frequently make comments as if you have some kind of inside information into what a particular fighter is thinking. Apparently you're psychic, I don't know.

You posture like your opinion is fact and anyone who disagrees is somehow bias or just not privy to your leet insider knowledge.

You are by far the worst poster I have seen on this board thus far. Worse than Makata and worse than Khorum.

Stop posting.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Oh, and it looked to me that Serra verbally taps, that's what I was referring to, not a physical tap. I torrented the fight and am replaying it right now. He lifts his head, looks at the ref and yells something and the fight was immediately stopped. You can't tell from the live fight cam very well, but the side-view slow-mo replay shows it pretty clearly.

Yeah he definitely didn't physically tap. Looked like it from the one back angle, but not any where you could see his hands. But he did seem to look up at the ref and say something immediately before it was stopped. Of course for all we know he said he was OK and wanted to keep fighting.

Well, except Jayrebb. He knows exactly what he said.

And BTW this...

Explains SOOOOOOOOO much.

"ZOMG Hardonk is the best HW ever!"

That was classic=) You must hate Justin McCully even more than me, and that's saying a lot.

I laughed hard at this. Most of the detractors problem is that they simply don't have an opinion, or are unable to put it into words. No sense naming names, because most of these people occasionally have something to say.

There are a lot of guys out there with nothing to say or add in real life. We call these people losers. Im guessing you are one of them.

Whats the purpose of this thread? For people to whack eachother off?

"ya bro GSP da man hehe"
"ya i love what GSP did lol"
"oh ya"
"right on dudes!! hehe"

Yeah we don't call those people contributors to the forum.

I love the INSANE ONE. hes CRAZY!! AND EXTREME. Dana White was especially ecstatic after the dutch protege of Ernesto Hoost was viciously controlled on the ground for 3 rounds.

I think he got cut from the UFC? I remember reading about some cuts a long time ago and for some reason McCully seems familiar. Just a vague feeling though.

You might be thinking of Jake O'Brien, I'm pretty sure Mccully is still with the UFC. Although I could be wrong.

I wish. He backed out of a recently, think against Kongo. Heath Herring filled in admirably. Now he's scheduled to fight Frank Mir on the Jackson/Griffin undercard for 86. All I can come up with is they signed him to a multi-fight deal in an effort to keep Tito in the fold and now they're stuck with him.

Supposedly the next issue of Wrestling Observer has some big news about a bunch of roster cuts in the UFC. Not surprising considing Joe Silva has something like 200 guys signed.

Last edit: I thought Florian did an admirable job at the technical aspects of the calling, but Goldberg absolutely needs Rogan in there to correct his dumb ass.

Wow. They cut Jake O'Brien but kept McCully. Weird decision. Maybe McCully is locked in somehow like you said. Jake had the better pedigree afaik.

McCully Mir....I guess thats just to give Mir another warmup. But its a lose-lose really, hopefully it will just be a nice ground showcase for Mir. Ill flip out if Mir loses somehow and gets knocked down the ladder again.

Lesnar was green, but a big enough name to put Mir up into a contender fight, and nobody would have winced if Dana just gave Mir the title shot at Nog.

The heavyweight division is really not looking good right now. Whos rumored to get the shot at Nog? Was it Werdum?

I have Herring at #1-2 contender again, but Dana won't do that which is too bad because Herring's got his new camp and hes taking the sport serious again.

Even Herring said after the Kongo fight that he did zero ground work. Despite all the lead up talk about how much he did.

As for Nog, there's a rumor that the next TUF will be him and Mir as coaches. But that would have to be months down the road, I imagine he'd have to defend at least once before that.
