+11 Internets | Fedor is more a ground and pound artist than a head stomper. He'd do absolutely fine on the ground with UFC rules(and has). That aside, this annoys me greatly=/ I'm all for the cage, I fucking *HATE* the restarts because the ropes and shit. Switching to UFC's 3/5 5 minute rounds is OK too. But aside from that I greatly prefer Pride's ruleset. Less stupid cut stoppages from elbows, less stalling on the ground. It just promotes better fights. So yes to cage, rounds, and weight classes, fuck everything else. UFC cage could stand to be a little bigger though.

+11 Internets | Vaguely on topic: I've heard people mention Andy Hug in reverential tones multiple times, but never really put much thought into it. Just decided to Youtube him and saw these highlights, axe kicks for the win?

+1 Internets | Fedor is a machine. Apparently, he trains in octagon's as well so nothing will come as a surprise. Elbows are so, so , so stupid. Knees to the head prevent this non-stop chuting crap with no reprecussions. If UFC would implement the yellow card it would reduce the purse of a number of boring UFC fighters. The more I think about it. I'd love to see Fedor beat the living shit out of Sylvia. I'd rather see that then the Couture fight because I like Randy and I think he'd get destroyed by Fedor. |

+11 Internets | Also, can't find a highlight with just the punch in it, but Melvin Guillard's body shot to Ruediger was vicious=) About 40 seconds in. He's fighting Joe Stevenson next Thursday on Fight Night Live, and I can't fucking stand Joe Stevenson. As annoying as Guillard was on TUF, Stevenson just bores the fuck out of me. Love him or hate him he's fun to watch in the ring.

| Pride Never Die | I loved Pride, I loved Pride rules, the way they judged, and no freaking elbows, and knee's on the ground. RIP Pride, you were the best MMA Org that got fucked over by inept Japanese managment. Hopefully this K-1 coalition will catch some steam in the US. The have a ton more money to throw at the US Market than even the UFC does. Don't get me wrong I don't hate the UFC, but I feel the way the rules are structured in Pride were better for the sport. UFC rules with elbows, no knee's, and the judging just sucks balls. The rules though aren't totally UFC's fault in the US though. The NSAC is a big part of the problem, but there's no reason to change Pride's rules in Japan.

| Now this all leaves me wondering, if Sakakibara resigned immediately after the Yakuza tabloid story was published, would that have let them keep their Fuji TV deal. Them losing that deal (followed by others) is what really caused the fall of DSE managed Pride. |

+2 Internets | I thought Fedor left Pride and is fighting in Bodog now? I know he is fighting against Matt Lindland on April 14th under the Bodog name, but I don't know anything about any extended contract. Anyone have the infos? |

| Pride Never Die | I believe it was a one fight deal at first with Bodog and that he recently signed a 2 year deal with Pride, but that might be null and void now that Pride was sold. I though I read rumors he'll be with Bodog fulltime now.

| Where did you read that? His Pride contract allows him to fight in his home country. But I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be stupid enough to give up him Pride World Championship belt (and all the damn money he gets per fight) to fight for Bodog of all places.
