Gotta say, after watching a highlight reel and reading up on him, I've become a pretty big Machida fan. Can't wait to see him pound Tito Ortiz into an overhyped piece of dogshit.

Seems like every MMA news outlet is reporting that Tim Sylvia won't resign with the UFC. People might hate the guy but losing a top 10 HW is not what the UFC needs right now.

Sounds kinda like the Pete Sell/Scott Smith fight, except that was no faking. Broken ribs of I recall. One of the best endings to an MMA match ever.

So Strikeforce is tomorrow. Frank Shamrock is going to obliterate Cung Le. Some other decent fighters on the card as well, Drew Fickett, Joey Villasenor, and Gilbert Melendez. I had no idea they'd signed Melendez, that's a pretty big score for them.

Melendez has fought for Strikeforce for a while, it's a non-exclusive contract and they seem fine with him fighting elsewhere. He chose this card over entering the Dream LWGP.
