| Damn, that is a good one, completely forgot about it. The One cover from that show was pretty good too.

| Banned | Save Ferris - Come On Eileen Christina Aguilera & Herbie Hancock - A Song For You (amazing live performance) Evanescence - Thoughtless (by Korn) Nirvana - Lake of Fire (Meat Puppets) Ortopilot - Time Is Running Out (Muse) Ortopilot - Creep by Radiohead (Acoustic) If anyone is interested in one hell of a guitarist/songwriter/singer who happens to cover lots of good tunes, check out Ortopilot. His website is ortoPilot - come into my world... and has a lot of videos and mp3s. I've enjoyed almost everything he's done. |

+18 Internets | A Perfect Circle - Diary of a LoveSong. Possibly the most well thought out cover of all time. Why more people don't try something like that is beyond me. It might be because without p2p it could never be released or heard except live because of all the legal copyright bull. If you haven't heard it they basically sing "Lovesong" by The Cure over Ozzy's "Diary of a Madman" and vice versa alternating chorus and verse. Pretty damn good. +4 Internets | Machine Head's cover of Message in a Bottle is very cool. Alient Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal was brilliant. Limp Bizkit's Sanitarium rocked.. Fred really needs to give up this whole rapping nonsense and stick to the heavy stuff.

+11 Internets | Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World (Bowie cover) David Bowie - Let's Spend The Night Together (Stones cover) Of Montreal - I Will (Beatles cover) Heard the Of Montreal cover when I saw them play an acoustic set in Norman. So fucking beautiful. The Black Angels - Now I Wanna Be Your Dog (Stooges cover) Black Angels closed their Bonnaroo set out with this song. Oddly enough, it just felt like the perfect fit just given their music. It felt good and they fucking dominated (may be attributable to how fucking amazing the original is). Radiohead have been covering some pretty badass songs on their recent webcasts, from Bjork to New Order. They were both tight. Orgy - Blue Monday I think that's the only reason why they ever got famous, but it was a damn good song. That's all I got.

+44 Internets | pfft, here's a simple man cover. that guy just sings the song adding none of his own touch edit: here's some of my favorite covers available on youtube Mirwais - Miss You (Rolling Stones) Placebo - Running Up That Hill (Kate Bush) of Montreal - Crazy (Gnarls Barkely) of Montreal - Monage Daydream (David Bowie) The Postal Service - Against All Odds (Phil Collins) Placebo - Daddy Cool (Boney M) Placebo - Bigmouth Strikes Again (The Smiths) Really the entire covers album by Placebo is awesome. Sure I'll think of more later. One of the worst covers I've heard is Death Cab trying to do This Charming Man (Smiths) Last edited by Ham n Cheese; 11-11-2007 at 05:50 PM.. |
