| I used to mess around in the EQEmu scene and host a server but that dev team is entirely to anal. I understand they don't wanna have the hammer of law come down on them from Sony, but gimmie a fucking break. They ban noobies for asking a simple question and halt distribution or questions of Emu because 1 person asked 1 question in IRC.

| I had some at one point, but I formatted between then and now, but yeah. It's a Greco-Roman Temple thing with an outer courtyard with some water surrounding it and pillars on either side, which is where they do this ceremony thing to induct new guides. Surrounding the temple are the Guide merchants that sell all the equipment. Inside the temple, on a lower level is a place for GM's/Guides to PvP. On the main level are all the GM merchants, merchants that guides are forbidden to use. |

| if you want to know what cshome looks like, picture a small map... very small. In the middle is a giant Parthenon, with a small pool out back, vendors in tents on the sides, and the front is lined with totems and a red-carpet treatment (except instead of carpet, it's standing ground water)... very nice looking, very serene Oh, btw, don't attack Llara the Mysterious out back... she deathtouches... pain. lots of pain. |

| oh, and to correct a point.. guides can use the npc's on the main level, they just need to have handed in their note to the quatermaster first... it's the npc's in the Hall that are all GM only. |

| well, the word sell is not too good to use... everything is free. Guide gear, in various sets (each set same stats, same effects, different look and color) as well as special gear like your free horse, banker, and a couple people who have been honorably retired in CShome. By retired, I mean guides who have died in RL, and SoE immortalized them ingame. For the most part, the equipment isn't as good as PoT stats wise, but some of the gear is hardcore. The ring with invulnerability and the shoulder item with +100 to all resists are the only things i'd carry over to my main if i could ![]() |

| CShome if I remember right was just a little garden with white marble buildings. I used the 37337 tutorial hex edit to view it so I dont know what NPCs were there. Was nothing to write home about though. As for the kitty box, that was what Veeshans Peak looked like before it was implemented. I remember downloading the VP files long ago and checked them out with my hex edited tutorial only to find the evil kitty of dewm all around me. Shortly after I patched with a much larger VP file. It's safe to say Don't quote me on that.

| To play on an EQemu server the only thing you need to do it edit one file in your EQ DIR, nothing to install and no EULA to agree to. As for the CSHOME files, Ive never ran across anyone that actually has them or wants to admit they have them. The GM/Guide gear is nothing special stat wise as mentioned before but some of the effects are nice. If you want to actually look up the stuff visit the eqemu website and do a search of the item db for "guide" or "violet". |

| There are kitty boxes in a lot of zones. You can accidentally get through to one if you fall through the world. I have fallen into one in Dragon Necropolis with my tracker before and I just left him there for a couple years. No need to move him. Oh and the reason you don't see the NPCs in CSHome is because you need to have the spawn information which requires someone willing to do that be able to get to CSHome on the live servers and then log the spawn information or something like that. |
