| Well ... I was out sick one week with the flu, and I had to finish a 3D model for a corporate structure my firm was designing. I had no help, and my eyes were buggy. All my resources were at work, so I stole my kids Lego's and went to town ..... After the presentation, I got fired ... WTF ? |

| :-( I built this huge interlocking base once. Each sub-base could be disconnected, and each had it's own assigned squad of different vehicles which lived in it. Then there was this huge flying fortress that could break down into seperate parts and dock at various parts of the base, or you could assemble all of them into this one huge thing you could just barely pick up. Sadly, it didn't fit in my room completely assembled. So I set it up in the living room to bask in it's glory, and my Dad had company coming over unbeknownst to me. He was Not Amused, even though the guests loved it. So he donated all my legos. Which took a while, I think I must have had a couple tons of those things. So much fun. :-(

| Whoa, legos, I remember them. In fact I have forbidden my parents from tossing or giving away those things, along with my old trading cards and such. This goes way way way way back to when I was like 9 and still have to harass them about saving stuff even to this day. Note how it's always the mothers that want to throw it all out, hmmm. Anyways, I remember long before Star Wars Episode 1 came out, back in the era that X-Wing and Tie Fighter 3D simulation games were out, me and my brother had an entire fleet built from scratch, with no instruction manuals or guides. Probably had like 50+ ships of x-wings, a-wings, tie fighters, bombers, interceptors, shuttles, hell we even went into the pain of making a decent looking y-wing. This was LONG before they started making custom fit and rounded blocks, we only had the basics to work with. When all put together, it was rather impressive. Now while all the newer sets, with all the fancy pieces to make them look as real as possible would be more impressive, I'm more proud of the fact that I designed it with those basic blocks, and didn't fork out 100 bucks per set. Anyways, my all time favorite was the Pirate sets, with the new curved swords and cannons that could actually shoot!!! Ahhh memories... maybe I should go open up my trunk and build something, like a Western Waste dragon eating Searyx or something ![]() |

| Well... I used to have a butt ton of Lego's before I swallowed one and my parents forbid me to play with them until I was like 12 or something =(. Although I used to have a lot of Guts, now those things were fun!

| Heh I had a lego world like 6 years ago. I have a picture of it, maybe I can get it scanned. I used to be a huge Lego maniac. I had some Knex, but never was allowed to spend that much on one of those huge model sets that you could put a ball in and crank, or rollercoaster ones. |

| may as well point out when... Legos went downhill AFTER: for medieval - the camelot castle: the biggest castle they ever produced. it was white with a blue roof. it was when gold painted swords and crowns appeared for pirate - the islanders for city - the 2nd gen police station & raceway for space - never a space fan, but i'd probably say when the introduced the 4th species the best was the originals medieval: Black Monarch's castle, Black Falcon's fortress, Robin Hood's hideaway, Viking boat pirate: Eldorado Fortress, Carribean Clipper, Redbeard's Ship city: first gen police station and hospital space: back when there were only 2 species, and that long black ship |
