Searyx is a Pussy! (More dragons)

Why is Searyx a pussy, you say? No, that's not the reason. No, that's not it either. Ok, now that's just plain disgusting. Cut that out.

No. The reason is because I've been playing it safe, and only going after Dragons I know I can beat, or at least beat safely. That's right, folks! Searyx the Great has been aiming at easy kills only. Well, no more! Today, I slayed the toughest dragon of them all! Lvl 53 Frost Breath Master HONVAR!!!

Well, ok. So I was still a pussy when I took that picture. Honvar isn't exactly a tough dragon. This, however, IS one of the tough dragons. Esorpa Of The Ring. Esorpa may not be on CoV faction, but she assists them. She also wanders up and down the goddamn Scar, making it damn near impossible to get any of the gating dragons alone.

Well, I decided to make an example of the bitch. Now mind you, Esorpa doesn't have any of those pussy AEs of the other dragons. He hits for around 250ish and has 2 AEs, both on -150mr checks: Stun Breath & Mesmerizing Breath. This makes Esorpa a rather tough little fucker without the right gear. Both of those AEs go off every 12sec. The stun lasts 12sec long if it hits, and the silence lasts 18sec. In otherwords, Esorpa can lock you down for good if you're unlucky. Happily, things went my way (having a self buffed 278mr helped)

But no. Searyx, I said, you're still a pussy. Esorpa is only lvl 53! Why don't you take on one of the BIG dogs with a nasty AE? So I decided to take on Sontalak.

After a 5min corpse retrieval, I decided I was aiming a little too high. So I decided to go after the last remaining unkilled Scar Dragon. IONAT.

Ionat has Mesmerizing Breath & Frost Breath as his AEs. Unlike Esorpa, however, he's also lvl 58, which makes Mesmerizing Breath just that much harder to resist. He also hits harder, faster, and lands his hits more often.

Sound tough? It's nothing compared to how the fight actually turned out. Fucking Gafala spawned when Ionat was at 15%, which is still a good 3 or 4 nukes away from death. Not to mention the fact that his Mesmerizing Breath has already landed on me a couple of times, causing me to doubt the wisdom of this fight. Luckily, the God's smiled upon me this day.

On a lighter note, I discovered something interesting about one of the dragons out in Western Wastes. Nintal and Bufa are gay lovers. What other reason is there for a GUY dragon to be carrying a different GUY dragon's Talisman? Nintal is a gay, homosexual. Faggot to the bone, baby! YOU HAVE BEEN OUTED, BITCH!

Priest of Discord is easy as hell, cause he stops too much to cast spells that will bounce off any decently geared person. Plus as a wizard lures just eat him away

What does suck though is making the Staff of Discord morph into a Combine Morning Star when you zone, whether it's on you or in the bank. It was kind of funny when I learned that, since as a wizard you can't naturally equip the combine morning star, so when I gated to PoK With staff in hand I got a rude duel death because of it.

But then, oddly enough, I had a bugged naked corpse with my familiar flapping at it that never lost it's rezz timer /boggle. Reminded me of the looting bug where you freeze the timer back in Manaburn days when the crew would travel into Veeshan's Peak.

Protector *might* be doable, the only problem would be a) getting down there, b) pulling/dealing with adds, c) if trakanon is up or pops [Ouch]

Venril Sathir is definitely not soloable by anything other then maybe a paladin. Those 1500pt lifetaps are brutal, even if it is kunark.

Protector for a druid would be pretty hard. I farm reet crowns and solo the protector and trakanon every now and then (SK in top guild on server btw)
