I'm thinking the "befores" are really the "afters" (pull the images up in photoshop or even Windows Imaging, zoom in and compare).

Plus I'm pretty sure that Nicole knows how (or has a handler that knows how) to keep her eyebrows plucked and I doubt Shakira would show up to a photoshoot with pimples and chin hair.
