Well, probably has a lot to do with the fact that I think she's a cunt, but I don't feel it was really necessary. Sure, I suppose she deserves to be called such, but not EVERY Senator feels the need to exert their position over someone else during a hearing. The same day another Senator was just find being called 'Sir' by Navy Admirals during a hearing.

There's a pretty strict code of etiquette for this. A military officer refers to a ranking officer as Sir, regardless of whether it is a man or a woman, and they refer to an elected representative by their title.
