This guy is an idiot and evidently has never seen a police officer. He showed only swat units and avoided showing your standard police officer because that would ruin his poorly thought out video. SWAT units do look like military personnel, but since they're the ones who raid buildings, and are more likely to encounter criminals with automatic weapons, I don't see the problem.

When you start seeing the regular guys who drive around in cars sporting automatic weapons, masks, helmets, and such, then this guy's video will make sense. Until then, he's just another tool with a video camera.

Batman: The Animated Series is fucking PHENOMENAL.

Easily, best dramatic cartoon ever, possible just the best of any genre. With the exception of the first Michael Keaton movie and MAYBE the last movie, it's quite possible the best medium Batman has ever been presented in.

I'm not saying the video isn't crap - it is pretty lame. But if you don't think that the powers of SWAT and other high-profile, highly-armed and combat-ready cop/troops has been VASTLY expanded over the past few years, you are living in a fucking dream-world.

Depends on the area and the officer's level of training. Every cop in every jurisdiction isn't given an automatic weapon when they graduate from their local academy.

The tactical capabilities of today's police force is greater than that of any time in modern history, but they are still a far cry from being militarized or a "secret police force".

SWAT and similar groups are the closest the police force has to a true military unit, but their mission is entirely different from your everyday police officer. If SWAT did not exist, the only alternative for high risk police actions would be to use the military, which is forbidden by the constitution.

So I stand by my original statement. The video is garbage as are most YouTube hosted conspiracy theory, OMG the G0vt i3 3V1LL!! videos.

Gotham Knights is basically a continuation of Batman TAS. Maybe you're thinking about "The Batman."
