Abuse of authority is as old as humanity itself. This video says less about the decay of America, and more about the proliferation of video capture technology. We finally have readily available lenses through which to view our own failures. Not surprising that they'd want to do this.

Btw, the victim did his own part to aggravate the situation-- not to say that the cops weren't totally out of line (they were).

edit: lol at the Chris Rock skit. Best lesson of all: yeah, some cops can be assholes. Best to just not break the law in the first place.

That pisses me off and I feel like leaving a message on their answerming machines about it.

Cops breaking rules and roughing up people is nothing new and I really don't get that mad at the system for it because shit happens. Laws being passed that essentially try to limit freedoms with no real gain in security upset me. Knowing that at any time you could video tape an occurrence of inappropriate law enforcement or criminal activity alike is a security that I enjoy and look forward to continually enjoy.

Yea, I was talking about the law trying to be passed, I know that abuse of authority is as old as dirt. Americans are losing more rights every year it seems and it's just getting sad, because they aren't even trying to hide the shit anymore. They flaunt this bullshit in our faces and the vast majority just doesn't give a shit and couldn't be bothered to pay attention to it.
