Guitar Hero for the PlayStation 2. Runs about 75 bucks or so, I forget, so maybe 300 bucks Canadian. The game is actually really, really fun, and is even more impressive because the songs are all original recordings for the game instead of just a slapped on MP3.

That said, it's too easy and too hard all at the same time. I was able to beat it on medium with no questions asked, but when I moved into the 'hard' difficulty I was shut down pretty quickly by that 5th chord. With no room to progress other than on 6 (yes, fucking 6) songs, it got really boring really quickly. I still prefer StepMania for my 'hit shit on time' fix, but I'm very much looking forward to Guitar Hero 2. Should have some more funds dumped into its production than they got for Guitar Hero considering it was easily the best selling game of the Christmas season, bar none.
