| I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and went to high school during the birth of Weston, the white flight capital of the east coast. South Florida, particularly the space between Old Lauderdale and North Miami, is a shithole. Take the convenient grid-like road system of a north eastern city, make everything a highway, remove 95% of the architecture and public transportation, and don't build anything over 5 stories high that isn't a parking garage or a bank headquarters. Spread everything way the fuck out so that everyone has their precious personal space and nobody can find shit to do or get to work/school in a reasonable amount of time. People-watching is now more depressing than amusing. Everyone between the ages of 10 and 55 dresses and acts 16. Night life has become increasingly bad since the Great Guido Migration of the early 2000s. I've been gone 7 years and the only thing I miss is fresh Cuban bread. |

| Flint was where GM had some huge presence at one time, but through some rough times closed the plant down, which was basically the only thing going in that city. Its akin to a mining town without the mining now. Also I do not see why Warren is on that list. Its a suburb N of Detroit and not that bad by any means. I used to go to school there. Detroit is like any other inner city. We have like a 20 block square where white people can visit and see Baseball, see a show at the Fox, see football at the new Ford stadium, eat some good food at some awesome restaurants, its actually hip to go there...But anywhere else N, W, S of that square the weak will be killed and eaten.

| Detroit first failed in the late 60's when there was a huge race riot which scared the shit out of the whites, so they all fled for the hills. couple that with some shitty Mayors over the years which bled the fucking city dry, well you end up with the top 5 worst cities in the country. Places like San Francisco have some great things going for it that places like Detroit do not. For one it retained its high property values because its still a premier place to live in the US, and second the whole California weather which is pretty good attractor of people as well.

I prefer to spend my time in Royal Oak, Novi, or Ann Arbor though. Ann Arbor is a blast, especially if you avoid the clubs (guidoville, except Necto on Monday and Friday) and hipster bars. | |

| You know they created walls in Detroit specifically to segregate blacks and whites. Whites couldn't get home loans if they lived in segregated areas so they chopped off part of their zone with a wall and presto they got approved for home loans. This kinda thing happened in a lot of cities with road construction also. |

| I don't find it surprising at all that so many cities from the Central Valley are on there. 99 is one of the most depressing stretches of highway. Funny that every single Californian city on the list except for Vallejo are all along the 99.

| Move bitches!!! GTFO of those shitholes! Probably some room here in New Orleans and on the Saints bandwagon! Charlotte NC wasn't so bad but I was bored. I really like SoCal but it's just so expensive, shitty traffic and crowded. New Orleans knows how to party and I like it here aside from the crime.
