Anyone done this? How did it turn out and was it worth it? How did the girl/guy handle it when it ended? How did you handle it? Do you still have your FWB?

Most important question - If you have/had a FWB, was it ever an ex?

Generally never works. One party will likely get/be more into it as a relationship than the other, and/or there will be third parties (ex'es/boyfriends girlfriends/spouses estranged or current) to massively fuck things up. I don't have any first hand experience to back that up, but that's just my impression of it as an outsider. If you are thinking of doing it with your ex then things are probably going to get fubar plenty fast or you will get back together. Is your divorce totally final now btw?

FWB is fucking awesome, but in reality its very hard to pull off. Someone will get attached. Someone will become jealous when they try to actually set the terms that its "friends only". Then it gets ugly

Yeah, i guess fuck buddies is different from FWB. FWB is a different beast entirely from fuck buddies because most americans don't possess the sexual maturity to have casual sex with someone they are close to for an extended period of time.

In that case, it depends on how close you are with that person, and whether or not you are willing to risk destroying your friendship just to get your dick wet. Unless it's a really tight friendship, yeah, it's probably worth it.

What you're describing though, is more like fuck buddies, if you are talking about hooking up with an ex. Unless you are really good friends with your ex.

Dry marriage. Ended with her cheating/not loving me anymore. Last month we started talking and have been hanging out a lot. I have been without sex for awhile because I dont have the patience to chase after women right now (gym, bike, work, my son more important) and she does not want to be around any guys right now and has no desire to date... but we are both horny.

I do still care for her, BUT I know where I stand.

I'm not saying forget about the cheating shit, but good god, now that you don't have to worry about your relationship with her, this is a good chance to really enjoy yourself. No need to be a dick obviously, but you should not pass up a chance to have lots of only a few strings attached sex.

lawl. Its not a sure thing yet. She wanted a couple of days to think about it. It was a joke from me at first (only after she told me she wanted NOTHING from me relationship wise), but she said 'maybe'. My ex knows what she wants. She will say 'No' when she does not want it and 'Maybe' if she does. She hardly ever says 'yes'.

Funny thing is, I was always 'gentle' during sex with her and thats where I think I went wrong. She comes off as a very nice girl and I think thats where guys mess up with her. I realized now she is just like every other girl.... she is slutty and wants to be treated as such.
