Runescape

Bored and I have duty for the next 23 hours. Anyone play/used to play Runescape? Any advice? I'm dickin' around in it and I'm pretty confused on what I ought to be doing or what there is to look forward to...

It seems to have a pretty substantial player base so I'm guessing there must be something fun to do, but I'm having trouble finding it.

Played off and on for about 2 years. Got up to about 1300 skill levels back when there were only about 20 skills. That was a dark chapter in my life.

There isn't much fun about the game unless it's your first true grind game, in which case it will be moderately fun. The combat system is pretty awful though, as you have to constantly farm huge amounts of food to be able to fight the higher level monsters (level 100+). But, the game is big enough now that you can grind just about anything you like. For whatever reason, I took a keen liking to woodcutting.

Yeah, pretty much if you log in to the game, you want to kill yourself in real life.

I was on study abroad and I was craving some games so I tried Runescape and I just couldn't do it. After having played real MMO's Runescape is like jerking off with sandpaper.

There are a lot better games out there that are f2p that are not such trash. The logic that lots of people do it so it must be fun doesn't work in this sense, because most of the people that do it are little kids so the game sells to a different audience.

Yah I played Runescape for a bout 3 years while in school when I was bored out of my skull. Think a lvl 72. TBH I wouldn't waist my time with the game. It has a really strong player base yes, but the games graphics, gameplay, and over-all structure is shite. The devs are also a bunch of retards who come up with some of the dumbest rules. You can't even say hell without having it come out ****.

Pretty much just fish, set fire, cook fish. Repeat. Where it really got interesting was lvling woodcutting!
