| Google's 10^100 Project One of the ideas I submitted got altered slightly and was selected as a candidate for the Google's 10^100 Project. Although I have no delusions about how many people must've posted similar ideas, it's still a cause that I think pretty highly about and would like to see it put into action. You can read all about it here: Project 10 to the 100 It's essentially a worldwide online educational system that offered nationally accredited degrees at no cost. One would have the structure of an academic environment along with the summation of human knowledge. If you see an idea on there that suits you better I actually support you to vote for that one instead. I was just bringing this about to garner attention for the project. |

+75 Internets | Wikipedia pretty much has that taken care of, Tikkus. I voted for a government transparency website. Right now there's mixed websites that track this, official or not, but it's really varied and untrustworthy. Project 10 to the 100 Create a website that enables people from any country or municipality to easily learn about the workings of their government, and rally their fellow citizens to take action to improve it. Numerous user ideas embraced variations on the theme of governmental transparency, with specific proposals ranging from publishing details of proposed laws and politicians' voting records to making public budgets searchable online and leveraging social networks to let communities make their voices heard by their representatives by voting on pressing issues. |

| Eh, what I submitted was more along the lines of a universally recognized legitimate online degree program. |

| I voted for Tikkus' idea as the vast majority of the rest were a. Entirely unrealistic with a $10mil budget, b. A decision to give that 10mil to a cause that already has an organization, which in most cases would be a drop in the bucket, or c. boring (Like educating africa---> Don't give a fuck) or pointless, (real-time crisis tracking). Many of the ideas fall under combinations of a, b and c. Blowing up landmines comes to mind. Or d. in the case of the idea Tuco linked, quite possibly the spark to set off world war 3 ![]()
