+25 Internets | Looks like a N64 cartridge copier on top of a N64 on top of a DD64 on top of what I assume to be a DD64 copier. Considering they sold about 12 DD64 on this side of Betelgeuse, these CD based copier must be pretty rare. EDIT: Google told me the CD rom thingy is just a regular copier, not a specific DD64 copier. Not sure what's up with the black cartridge with the connectors though.

+11 Internets | I still have two of these: It came with a huge ISA card that you had to plug into your computer, which you had to connect with your vidcard through a VESA connector. The last card that actually had a working VESA connector was the Hercules Terminator 3D. The Viper 330 already did not have that connector anymore. I played Hexen 2 for a bit with that thing and I must say it was quit scary. The motionsensor worked very well and the 3D effect was really good. Unfortunately the resolution was absolute crap. The VFX 3D was the successor to the VFX1 and was only slightly better. The best thing was the actual casing: it was quit comfortable and did a good job of tuning the environment out, also because of the better-then-average earphones. Some people are actually buying the casing on ebay, then take out the crappy low-res TFT panels and put in a modern visor. The "cyberpuck" that came with it was kinda cool. It is a motion-sensor that you can hold free in your hand. Pity the whole thing was so low-res that you got a headache after playing for 5 minutes. Also, having to look around in your game by actually moving your head is not all what it's cracked up to be.......I think most people would prefer a quick swirl with their mouse. |

| WTF, the powerglove completely escaped my existence. I had a NES by age 2 (1998), and every game that mattered. I remember the Virtual Boy and all the other NES commercials ever posted, but I don't remember one thing about the powerglove or ever seeing or hearing about it. Was it that shitty that my brain deleted it to prevent trauma?

| It's true. I haven't. I really think my brain is deleting it everytime I see it. Perhaps tomorrow I won't even remember this thread. Perhaps I got raped with a powerglove?
