Dead shark left in middle of Miami after train trip downtown

MIAMI (AP) -- It's not clear how or when it was killed, but police were called to a downtown Miami street yesterday when a five-to-six-foot shark was found lying in the middle of it.

The shark apparently made the trip downtown on the city's Metromover train with the aid of two men. Two TV stations are reporting the men had tried to sell the animal to at least three fish markets.

They were only asking for about $10, but an employee at the Casablanca Fish Market tells WSVN his business doesn't "buy sharks off the street."

Wildlife officials says the animal was a nurse shark. The case could result in misdemeanor charges of improper killing and disposal of an animal and selling a shark without a license.

I want a liscence to sell sharks off the street.

I was hoping for another snakes on a plane or it's offshoot snakes on a train. I'd watch it. Seems like a perfectly good waste of a shark though. I can think of a lot of pranks to do with a dead shark.
