| actually im neither. while 'paste' prob wasnt the best word to use, it defenitly doesnt arrive in the stores as 1 solid loaf. for example you couldnt cut it into slices with any kind of meat slicer before it was cooked. but its not like a 'paste' where it would have the consistency of something like toothpaste. the best example would be something like the inside of a sausage before you cook it. i am sorry to be the one to tell you this. you obviously feel strongly about arbys. |

Roast beef wouldn't be ground like that beforehand, traditionally.

+15 Internets | You're right, ground meat will thaw out faster, but not at an exceptional rate. There's no way the meat from Arby's is ground, it would completely fall apart (moreso than it already does) when sliced so thinly. The texture and how it falls apart when stretched definitely shows that is is indeed solid meat. The quality of the meat is up for debate, though! I bet they pay killer prices per pound for that loaf o' crapola.

Actually, the best description is what the inside of an uncooked hotdog is. Its closer to a paste than the inside a sausage. At least a sausage still has some of the ground meat look to it. I worked at Arby's for 2 years. It was my first job. If you cut open the bag it was in and let it sit on the counter, eventually it would 'ooze' into a large pancake shape.

+7 Internets | We never let it thaw too long. The guy, that was my boss, was a major stickler for everything being perfect. He ran the store as it should have been and we had a lot of customers because of it. |

| It'd be cool if Arbys was actually fucking good. Unfortunately, around here, they took a detour off the good train, and stopped at fucking nasty about 7 years ago. Had a roast chicken on one of the free wednesday things earlier in the summer just to see if it had changed at all, and nope, still trash. I did some horrible, horrible things to my toilet. May we never forget. |
