Dallas Meet Up

Ok, so a few of us in the area are going to try and meet up tomorrow night (July 3rd) to go out.

The friends I'm meeting are some old buddies of mine from the Air Force (married couple) and I think our DD (the wife) wants to go out to a dance club of some sort, techno I believe. Anyone wants to come out and get plastered with us, you're more than welcome, because I'm getting fucked up and staying at a Hilton in town (yay discounted prices for employees).

I don't know Dallas, but the girl's dad lives there. I have no clue what clubs we might be going to and I've been trying to call them all day to no avail. I'll try and know more asap. Give me contact info if you feel comfortable.

Not entirely sure where we're gonna end up tonight, but I've had a few people around here tell me Deep Ellum or whatever is the place to go. I know for a fact we are looking for a dance club that plays techno/electronica music.

I'm only familiar with two clubs open on Friday in Deep Ellum, really. Panoptikon (at the eXcuses Cafe) caters more to the gothic/industrial crowd and plays a mix of etherial, industrial, and trance music, rather than pure techno/electronic.

The other one would be Lizard Lounge, which I frequent on other nights (when it's a different club called the Church), which plays more electronic/rave music, and is more frequented by club kids/ravers/frat boys. It may be more in line with what you guys are thinking.

In terms of alcohol, the drinks are the same price (about $4 for wells) but about 3x stronger at Panoptikon.

So last night was pretty awesome. Went over to Curtain Club and saw some kick ass metal bands and thrashed in the mosh pit, fucked up my thumb. We got pretty damn wasted, but Aztlan was the only one who managed to show his face. The goth bar was pretty cool too, but wasn't very busy at the time we went. I'll definitely have to make more trips out there.

The Anatole is a fucking amazing hotel to stay in too.
