| Flaccid Steel | Browser Civ type game My friend introduced me to Evony earlier today when I asked if he wanted to play a game of Civ4. Basically you build cities and you can attack people and shit. The building system is done in real time... kinda like Eve's skill training system. Last edited by The Dauntless One; 06-04-2009 at 12:21 AM.. |

| Just the way you laid that out there made me think of (and miss) the old school days of Sim City. Where you could build up your city and then attack it with hurricanes and the such. Eventually, in later ones, they even had aliens and the such. Sorry for the derail. I'll look into this game. Although it being in real-time against other players makes me a bit fearful. I don't want my city to be annihilated by anyone other than myself...

| Yep it is exactly like travian but more complex, only prob is it is not really free, if you play a lot in a few weeks you will be stuck at lvl 9 building with only solutions to attack lvl 10npcs (wich cost a fuck load of army) for a very rare chance at a scroll to upgrade to 10 one building or you are good to hit the store and spend real cash. |

+3 Internets | This looks very similar to Lords of the Realm 2, but with an interface that lets you select cities.

| Flaccid Steel | If you ever purchase cents, use them as soon as you receive them. They WILL disappear in a few days. it's a recognize problem but people who've lost their cents for over a month have not received them back yet. This has personally happened to me (lost 200 cents). yes this is correct. |

+5 Internets | I'm an in game mod (not supposed to say that OH NOEZ), been playing for awhile. It does have it's issues and bugs, the Devs are pretty tight lipped about things but they are so understaffed at the moment it's causing them to lag behind on some key fixes such as random troop losses and the cents issue though they hardly ever respond to emails about bugs they do pay attention to them and if you can provide battle reports and receipts for lost cents they will make sure things are set strait eventually. Before I was a mod I was double charged on a small cents order and I was refunded the money within 3 business days, personally I thought that was pretty quick on their part. The game itself is fun to the point where if you are in a large alliance and you go to war with people yeah it's sweet, if not you just kinda sit there after you've finished researching and building to your max troop limit. yes you can attack NPC cities but to me that gets boring after awhile. Defenses were amped up but they did that to help protect against people who have packs of 500k archers/ballista's and can rebuild 300k losses in under a day. The defenses revamp was needed and was toned down after awhile and with Rockfall being changed to defensive trebuchet that helped a bit... they then toned down the benefits of walls and archery towers/archery level. Ballista's were a major problem with building thousands of them and them being out of range of any of your wall defenses. The changes they put in were needed in order to keep larger players from basically destroying everything and everyone in their path. The NPC farming nerf further pissed off those big players as well. People with those 500k armies could only feed 250k worth of troops so peopel were farming NPC cities to plunder millions of food to keep up with the negative food production. NPC cities used to reset their troop and resource amounts almost instantly (like 8 minutes actually) so you could farm them nonstop, now it takes 8 hours for them to restock themselves. Players armies starved and they got angry over it but now that anger has pretty much been left behind for the most part as people have or are still now adapting to the new game mechanics. It's a fun game I think and helps pass the time for me while at work. I recommend if if you're lookin for something to do.
