What to do? Stolen laptop content

So my stepbrother just got out of jail and has been homeless for awhile. He's stolen from us several times, including my social security card. My parents seem to be complete dumbasses because here he is, living in the house again. He's been in and out of jail multiple times for stealing from people/stores and one time for being involved in an attempted murder. Lovely kid, and he's living here.

Luckily for me, I barely live here, as I mostly just live with my girlfriend although I still have a room at my parent's house. Earlier today I am in the kitchen and instead of seeing my mom's laptop I see a strange older looking Dell laptop, some inspiron 1100 I think. I open it up, not sure why it is there and notice the login name is Jazmine. That's weird, none of us are named Jazmine. So I explore a little, find a ton of Britney Spears albums and other various girl shit. Obviously this doesn't belong to him.. it gets a little weirder.

I open up the pictures and start looking through them. They seem off immediately. They're pictures of a "woman", but yet I am pretty sure I'm looking at a dude dressed as a woman. Upon further exploration I find a folder labelled Transgender filled with tranny porn, and a movie folder with movies that I have yet to open based on my previous findings. The internet history confirms my beliefs when I go through and see tons of sites that link to new wigs, surgery, transgender housing, all that kind of stuff.

Your first thought may be that he wants to be a girl, the pictures definitely aren't of him, and since he's been homeless and in jail I know he doesn't own some old ass laptop. It's pretty evident he's stolen it, but from whom I don't know.

What do you guys think I should do? I could call my local authorities with no real evidence that he's stolen it, but they won't listen. I don't even bother with my parents, stuff like letting him live here again makes me resent them over and over again. Any ideas? I tried looking for "it" on myspace to see if I could contact them but I couldn't find them. The only name I had found on the laptop was Jazmine Marie, which is probably not real due to them being pre-op.

Maybe I'll get negs for this post because it's a bit weird, but looking for some help. I would love it if this piece of shit was sent back to jail.

If you have a gf that has an apartment and it's serious (even if just for now) and you have a job that you can get to, it's time to move out of the house.

Why bother putting up with co-dependent enabling illegality when you can live life on your own terms. You will NEVER change anyone, EVER. You will not "save" your brother, your parents or anyone else who is not YOU. So it's time to learn that little life saving lesson now and start changing the atmosphere you're surrounded in.

Not to sound all Dr. Phil and shit, but your family sounds like a bunch of morons, and the faster you get out of there and start improving your own lot, the better off you'll be.

Do it today if you have the means, pack up your stuff, write a note that tells them you love them and care about them but simply cannot deal with that destructive environment and that you'll call to let them know that you're ok, but that living with a thieving criminal is not how you intend on spending your time.

Wish them all luck, then move into your newly shared apt, fuck your gf, save tons of money, enough to be able to live on your own after the inevitable breakup. Learn from your family's mistakes, don't become a leech, don't become a "savior", just work hard, play hard and enjoy life on your terms.

The g/f lives with her parents, we're both in school even though I am 25 and she is 24. Living on our own just isn't in the cards right now, however it definitely will happen in a year or so when we are done with school. I have considered moving in with my father who recently purchased a house, but it is further away so it doesn't work well for me.

It is weird that I basically live at my girlfriends house, but her parents love me and even recently gave me a key to their house. Moving in is just something that I don't think I would ever bring up, but with situations getting bad here who knows.

I know my family is retarded, I haven't even told 1% of the entire story, just the basics. I'm not trying to save my stepbrother by any means, I'm actually just trying to get him back into jail again because I hate him and he deserves it.
