| In no order: 1. Rygar (This isn't from the game, but its a pretty damn close-to-exact sound): 2. Silpheed (Played on an MT-32 which I was one of the lucky few to have!) 3. Wizards and Warriors (Title) 4. Blaster Master (Area 3) 5. Final Fantasy 4: Overworld |

| Not a song, per se, but this is easily the coolest installation for a game ever devised: YouTube - DOS C&C installation

| Fuck you I was going to post Cannon Fodder! ![]() Anyway... ...and also pretty much every single other sodding track from Turrican II (which was better than Super Metroid. There, I said it). The Amiga was the best 16-bit machine, so have a compilation as well: |

+25 Internets | This is not a list of my favorite video game music tracks, but a list of those I catch myself hum from time to time, that are forever engraved in my brain for some reason. FFVI's Shadow's Theme: YouTube - Final Fantasy VI Music - Shadow's Theme Is it the Morricone-esque mouth harp? The slow theme? I don't know. It's stuck. Silpheed's Stage 10: YouTube - Silpheed Music - Stage 10 This track is a mess but memory has a way to clean things up, so its kind of solemn melody got engraved and the rest vanished. Gradius 3's Boss On Parade part 3: 3'30'' into YouTube - Gradius III BGM : Boss on Parade This is a very short loop, but the bass line got trapped forever between my ears. Actraiser 2's Death Field: YouTube - Actraiser 2 - Death Field & Almethea 30s loop, but the resolute tone of this march (is there any military march that is not resolute though?) cemented it in my cortex. That's only 4, so as a bonus a nostalgia moment: The intro of Ys I on PC-Engine CD-RomRom YouTube - PC‚ƒ‚ƒ €Œ‚ƒ‚…ƒ…€ ‚ƒ‚… OP Discovering this in an import shop at the tail end of 1990 along with the Super Famicom was a shock. In fact the beginning of the video still gives me goosebumps.

| Final Fantasy 8 - The Castle (final dungeon Ultemecia's Castle) it was a complete and total throwback to dracula, castelvania, etc. Final Fantasy 7 - Aerith's Song My sister use to cry when she heard that music coming from my room, she didn't even play the game or know the story at all. Legend of Zelda (already in this thread) Double Dragon (already in this thread) Everquest title and character screens from Kunark and Velious.

| So much FF8 love in this thread...I'm touched, guys. ![]() So in my YouTube search for yet another memorable theme, I found this thing. I'm sure it's old as hell, but damn if I can't stop laughing at it: Mega Man 2 Title with Lyrics Ducktales Moon Level with Lyrics although, I am rather stoned so you might have to be also to find them funny. ![]() |

| Lol Asmadai, I found those Megaman themes with lyrics awhile back myself. Laughed myself silly. And I wasn't even high lol. So uh...a top 5. Ok. 5. Always my favorite battle theme. FFII/IV. 4. Pure nostalgia here. Don't even care for the singing much, but it takes me back to finally finishing this game and just being in awe at how awesome the game was as a whole. Xenogears. 3. Duh. Zelda 1. 2. One for Asmadai. Always loved how this starts out so calm, and then just kicks your ass out of nowhere. It's also much more..."classic" than anything else in FFVII or FFVIII. 1. And finally...well, you won't catch me giving a great deal of nods to FFVIII, but the exception is the music department. This track is just win.
