| Sunsoft on the NES had some of the best fucking music EVER. Batman Journey to Silius: this entire soundtrack trumps most snes/n64 games Final Fantasy 4: Redwings Chrono Trigger: Corridor of Time And for some unknown reason this frustrating as hell game's soundtrack is what started my infatuation with video game music....Wizards and Warriors

+12 Internets | Anything from these games, in this order: Final Fantasy 3 Everquest Street Fighter The FF3 victory song is my ringtone, Kefka's theme is my text message, and I rotate between Everquest and Street Fighter midis for my alarm clock. And yes, I rock that shit in public and I'm like 90% not embarrassed by it so don't worry about it.

| We bawlin boi! | Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is second to none in music from any game in my opinion.... true art paired with a video game. I think if random people were given this music to listen to for the first time and not told where it was from, most people would guess a movie soundtrack. When you go into the church where the bell tower is, and this starts playing, that was unforgettable for me. The music of SotN just captured the mood and feeling so well, I remember this place in the game so well. Edit: almost forgot Dance of Pales.

+165 Internets | FF:T/C:SOTN probably the two best all around soundtracks. However, if we're setting the way back machine to when I was a kid... http://www.midishrine.com/ostepop/ne...hadowenter.mid The sad, sorrow filled tone just hits home even harder when you think that in this day and age of gamefaqs and hundreds of other spoiler sites, we may never see adventure games quite like it anymore. |

| Registered User | Super Mario World: 1-2 theme Final Fantasy II: Main theme Chrono Trigger: Magus' theme WarCraft II: Human Campaign, level 1 Final Fantasy VI (III in US): Dancing Mad I love a lot of the themes from FF6, but Dancing Mad enthralled me. When Nobuo Uematsu's band remade the 8-bit version I was giddy. I'm not really a "music guy", and outside of Uematsu I couldn't name another video game composer, but there's so much going on in Dancing Mad, it's like an entire story in and of itself. ![]() |

+13 Internets | Atari VCS 2600 games didn't really have much in the way of "music". Yes I'm "old". Fuck. And to be honest, I never really cared about the music in video games.
