And holy shit, Captain Power. I have been trying to think of the name of this show for at least the past 3 years. Everyone thought I was crazy since I was the only one who remembered it in my circle of friends. | |

Now to find em all online somewhere and watch them in order. One show I missed was Conan the one with the bird, not with the kids (wtf?) I remeber watching it every day and it was close to the last episode- the day of the last episode my dad took me to run errands- I was soo pissed, so I got him to stop by radioshack and I turned the TVs onto it and watched some of it...then we had to go...man I was pissed...I seek that episode also for my fond fond kid days of old but I did indeed vote transformers for 80's, the movie if anything makes it solidly the winner

| can't remember if there were cartoons that went along with the toys or not but as far as toys go...max steel robo force and insectars were fucking own. i remember you put your hand in the insectar toys like a glove. i think i had the entire insectar collection. as far as 80's cartoons go i think robotech was the best, but i also loved the smurfs, gummy bears (i still know the theme song by heart), he man, thundercats and gi joe. a few other obscure ones that were cool as shit: galaxy high and pole position. also...no mention of speed racer? i think that was 80's. |

| Speed Racer was quite a bit earlier than the 80s. I have to say that I think overall the 90s was a better time for cartoons than the 80s. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved the living shit out of basically every single 80s cartoon there is, but the 90s brought it to a whole new level. Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman The Animated Series, Gargoyles, amongst many, many more that were truly ahead of their time. |
