| Alleged vote tampering - 6:32am EST Temple of Solusek Ro (Reuters) - Earlier today a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood - Zordakalicus Ragefire - was caught tampering with voted ballots by local staff, and fled the scene soon thereafter. Authorities of the Freeport Militia tell us they have not captured the suspect, but are close on his tracks thanks to a local druid. "What Zordakalicus did today was an outrage to the Norrathian people. We are doing our best to apprehend him and his subjects, and punish them for their crimes." Sir Lucan D'lere said in an interview. "If you spot Zordakalicus Ragefire, approach him with caution, and send a tell to any member of the Freeport Militia. It does not matter what he cons, DO NOT attempt to apprehend the perpetrator. He has been known to transmute into a fierce red dragon upon engagement in combat." Another authority working on the case for many years, Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate, has informed us that Mr. Ragefire is a suspect in many other cases, including conspiring with Overking Bathezid, Lord Nagafen, and tampering with SMDs (Summons of Mass Destruction -- Ixiblat Fer.)

| Man, I wish Bertoxx had been on the ballot. Not looking forward to the pussification of America under Osama. It was nice tho - here we got rid of a very corrupt county sheriff who had been in place for a long time....so something good came out of it. |

+2 Internets | I didn't know who to vote for but after talking with a friend, I went with John McCain. Once my friend told me about his brave act of wearing a "i hate niggers" sign in Harlem to keep a madman from blowing up a public place, I just had to vote for the guy. |

+1 Internets | It would be interesting to hear folks' perspective on their home state. With a majority democrat senate and house and a democrat president, I suspect that the greatest variation in policy will occur at the state level, at least for the next few years (if not the next four to eight). For example, in Louisiana, Mary Landrieu was reelected governor. Smear ads connected her with Obama early on, demonstrating that she participated with him in various projects. They intended for that to make her look bad, but it really only shows that Louisiana is set to be in a good position for the coming years, as our governor has preexisting connections with the president. With concern over the "chocolate city" still an issue among some democrats and the expectation among black folks here that Obama will be looking their way, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Are there similar things happening elsewhere? |
