It amuses me that most of you are sticking up for the dad when you yourselves did things not too far from this (as the kid) in your youth. Kind of reminds me of assholes I met in college who would go out of their way to make sure no one laid a hand on their sister but would treat other women like shit.

Assuming it wasn't statutory and assuming it was consensual the kid broke 0 laws and I don't see how the dad can be found innocent. You don't just beat the shit out of somebody because he's defiling your little girl. Yell at him, throw him out of the house, etc, but maybe he (and you all) need to consider that if you're unhappy with the situation, maybe you should take it up with your whore of a daughter and not the guy legally and justifiably fucking her.

Sure. But that's looking at the situation as completely black and white. The guy had no idea who this kid was in the first place. He could have assumed it was rape. Think about it, he called 9-1-1. Why would he do that if he thought this guy was even in a relationship with his daughter? I'm not defending the guys actions, but I would have reacted similarly.

Because if he would have just cracked the guys skull and thrown him on the street he would be fucked and stuck in prison for sure. By playing the "Halp 911. I thought this guy my daughter was quietly snuggling in bed with for over a year was actually in nude, wall scaling rapist" card he has a chance at getting away with otherwise unjustifiable actions.

I for one support the Premeditation Theory. Dad was obviously a brilliant guy who watched every season of Bones + CSI and executed the perfect plan to beat the shit out of his daughter's boyfriend with no consequences. He had the stone will to tolerate that bastard fucking his young girl like a piston until the wee hours of the morning before finding the perfect opportunity to make his move. Foresight to plant a convenient blunt object beforehand instead of using a gun, plus wrote out a script for a 9-1-1 call in which he can play the clueless dad protecting his little angel from an intruder trying to steal her virginity.

I hope he changes careers and becomes a defense attorney. He would be unbeatable.

How hard is it? Doesn't take a criminal master mind. Is it really more reasonable that ninja boyfriend of 13 months got owned with a pipe the father just so happens to bring while inspecting every noise from his little girls room with without a word of protest from the daughter?

Can you really not see the scenario playing out like this...

Daughter introduced the boyfriend at some point and father didn't approve.

Daughter starts secretly seeing the guy, maybe even gets caught a few times in the act.

Father catches them in the act and he finally snaps. They get in an argument, father come back with a pipe and nails him.

Father calls 911 and reports it as an intruder and tells the daughter to tell the cops "You tell them I didn't know this mother fucker or else your father will get in trouble" obviously scared of her father (guessing even more so seeing how he just bludgeoned a man with a pipe) so she complies.

Maybe I'm wrong but the guy is still in jail so I have a feeling the police might be siding with me.

Armchair theories of "how did he know it wasn't rape?" don't work. You can't assume the worst and act accordingly to it. If his interests are in his daughter's safety his first course of action should be to separate the boy from his daughter by force: pulling him off/shoving him to the ground. At this point the daughter can voice her objections and say she knows him etc or if it actually was rape he could notice her crying or at least not object. I doubt any jury would convict him of throwing the guy to the ground but assaulting him with a pipe .. a weapon very capable of murder .. is over the line.

And I agree with the idea he only called the cops to cover his own ass. He didn't give a shit about the kid and only cared enough about his daughter to make her conform to his ideal of a perfect princess.

Honestly how many of you had sex at or before 15? None of you have a right to side with the dad when you did the exact same thing as the kid did. The sole factor I see in question is it being 3am which they probably agreed on just to get past dad.
