I fought it, and eventually won a little reprieve. Once you get over the barrier, things will be great for a while. She's committed then, and trusts you not to hurt her.

Problem is, those walls tend to get built back up. She's never going to be used to being open and defenseless, and I'm guessing you won't either. There will come a time when the absence of distrust will start to cause friction. It's a slow, painful way to watch a relationship die, as you just start fighting more and more for no reason at all. You might both see the end coming months ahead, but unless someone is willing to step out, it'll keep on deteriorating.

Aren't I just a ray of sunshine? All that being said, it's still worth the work if you really like her. Just don't go into it feeling like forever really means forever. Cherish what good time you get, and when the end eventually comes, you'll have no regrets.

I generally don't eat out unless she specifically requests it and has done something recently to deserve it. Its ok, I guess, but not really my favorite thing in the world. As luck would have it I have an innate ability for it and can usually finish up in 3-5 minutes if I'm just looking to get it over with if I'm not into it.
