| I tried. Really. But it is so fucking klunky and boring that I quit before even taking a screenie. Conceptually: smarmy white cat with jaunty French cap on island with lava lamp and chair screaming 'I'M SO LONELY PLEASE SOMEBODY KILL ME'. No one came. The end. |

| You guys haven't been paying attention. Google doesn't sell anything, they are the best at making money while giving things away for free. Eventually everything in these worlds will be ad-driven, you'll paint the walls with Behr paint from Home Depot, then get a Coke out of your LG fridge and sit down in your Gap jeans on your Ikea furniture.

| Just a glorified chat room for now it seems? At some point it could be useful if they add more customizability to the point where you have like a usable whiteboard on a wall to teach a class, or have a business meeting with slideshows or whatever. I think folks are already doing some of that in Second Life, but with Second Life you have to download more substantial software. Here you have a small download and its web-driven. |

| I used to play around in a chat room system like this.. a decade ago in a place called Activeworlds. This is slower but has better graphics by far. Someone needs to make a pedobear room and see how many chris hansons show up!
