Although the high scores shows people as having 2 billion total score... I only have ~240 million. How did they get that high? | |

| You have to spam the ability that raises your manapool as well, it gives you an 8% score modifier on kills and on the send each level early bonus every time you level it

| I did pretty well on the last run of TD games that were here, but for some reason I can't seem to figure out the trick for making the epic level here easy. What strat are people going with? Upping your mana pool? Single gem towers of high level? Lots of towers with lower level gems and lots of traps? |

| The epic boss takes a certain amount of mana from you when it hits the end of the line. If you don't have enough, you lose. If you have enough, it'll take another trip around the line so you can take a chance at beating it. You can go back and redo old maps to level up on and improve your scores on them. I got stuck on the 1st epic until I went back with the tricks I'd learned and leveled up a little, spent my points, and went back. I built a bunch of towers with diamond or above gems of various types, and made sure my mana was upped past the amount needed for the boss to get another run along the trail. Once he got to the 2nd trip and started getting out of range of my first towers, I then used them as gem-bombs to hammer him.

| Is this how everyone has beaten the epics? I beat the first and second epic my first attempt without them reaching the end. All I did was build up several towers with level 5/6 gems and used them as bombs when the boss moved out of range. |

| Thats how I ended up doing it. I didn't realize how hard the higher level gems hit until the 2nd trip around, so I'll probably end up trying that on a later epic map.

| Well my issue I found out was that I wasn't high enough level. I was pretty low in level and didn't have some of the stronger skills. Getting the cheaper gems one was a rather big deal and allowed me to beat it with him taking one pass. Went back a bit later and easily beat it not even allowing the guy to get past me. | Dumb question, how good are bombs? I'm up to level 47 and just beat The Lurker epic boss with no banish, and I've never used a single one. Also when I was first looking at the skills and saw "Medium" and "High" grade starting gems I imagined rank 2/3, not the actual 3/5. Having 3-4 of each was a HUGE jump right out of the gate. Hell every rank 5 is a free 2000 mana value for the rest of the game. Last edited by Malakriss : 07-04-2008 at 07:37 PM. |

| Once you get like lvl 37 you can respec and dump a buncha points into the # of higher quality gems you get as well as gem mastery. At that point I started from the beginning again and got the glowing ring scores on all of them as I worked my way to the final level. When I had all the glowing ring scores before the last level I was lvl 83. When I beat the final boss, I had 33k mana and he made like 4 or 5 passes. I had 8 tier 7 gems and turned them into 3 tier 8's and left 2 tier 7s. If it looks like you won't beat him throw your tier 8 gems on him near the end to blow like 10-20k hp off. |
