Got a chuckle from me when I figured out what they were getting at. Watching the remaining few minutes was just pointless, something that seems to be a recurring theme with Onion material. They're taking overdone punchlines and dragging them out far too long. Reading some of their articles pains me sometimes when nothing new is introduced from paragraph 2 to 15 .. just pure filler to make it look like an actual article.

Hey .. Onion. It's okay. No one actually thinks you're a legit news source. Make the punchline and move on. We don't need a 4 minute video or 15 paragraph article when we stopped laughing 40 seconds/2 paragraphs in. End the piece, take your e-bow, and move on.

Part of me hopes this is nothing but a joke and I'm all the dumber for responding to it in this fashion .. but I can't help myself. Colonel Sanders was an actual person. He was made an honorary Colonel back when he restaurant was still blossoming (he originally sold his wares in a small restaurant / gas station. He adopted the 'Colonel' moniker along with his trademark white suit and goatee.

Maybe it's because I like stupid trivia like that and because I watch a ton of food network, but I really thought it was common knowledge the guy existed. BTW Wendy was actually one of Dave Thomas' children, and the 2 McDonald's brothers sold their burger stand to Ray Kroc in 1955 and he decided to keep the name when he launched it to the empire it is today.
