Have you ever seen a ghost? Dammit I fucking fucked this thread up, some admin wanna help out? So I got in this big discussion with the women tonight about ghosts and shit. I personally don't believe they exist; I've never seen one. I've talked to plenty of people who have said they've seen a ghost. So have you ever seen a ghost? Give some details.

Ive seen em and experienced a few unnatural encounters before. Saw a ghost dog one time in my friends apartment. One of the room of my grandpa's house is unnaturally cool year round. Even in the dead heat of summer you walk in and youd almost get the chills sometimes. Was definitely strange.

With a concept as beautiful, complicated, and massive as an afterlife I refuse to believe the spirit of a person has chosen to spend eternity kicking it life in my grandma's sewing room.

I've seen ghosts on two occasions when I was younger, somewhere about ages 8 to 11. I don't believe in ghosts and assume them to be my mind having projected a dream into reality. The first time I was younger and lying in bed with the door open falling asleep. I was lying on my side and I noticed a movement at the door. I looked up and a partially transparent figure "floated" into my room and stopped at the end of my bed. The face was human shaped but had no discernible features and it was wearing a long sleeved flannel shirt. The bottom of the shirt kind of faded away and there was nothing below it. I sat frozen for a few moments before bolting out of the room around the thing to my parents room. The second instance I was several years older and it still creeps me out because of how real it felt. I was in a lucid dream and in it my older sister had just got a new apartment. Inside there was a double doorway that was open but the room beyond was in total darkness. My sister told my I shouldn't go in there but of course I did. I rounded the corner into the dark room then BAM, I was instantly awake and the black silhouette of a woman was standing at my bedside leaning over me arms flailing, beating me violently. The figure faded after about 10-15 seconds and I just sat there horrified. After falling back asleep I found myself in the exact same dream and again, the second I entered the dark room I snapped awake and was being assaulted by this thing leaning over me. It happened a third time the same night and then never again. I've always had lucid dreams but never in my life have I had the same dream twice, let alone three times in the same night and with such an abrupt and scary ending. So yes, I've seen ghosts but I don't think they were anything more than my mind playing some pretty cool tricks on me. The first time I was near sleep and the second time I was waking from sleep. Despite that, when I saw the ghosts I was definitely fully awake and in reality so for my brain be able to trick my eyes like that has always interested me.

+1 Internets | Never seen a ghost, but I would never claim they don't exist. I figure with all we don't know about science and how the universe works, there could easily be some sort of scientific explanation for actual "ghosts" of dead people existing. While they might be a supernatural occurrence for us now, in the future they might just be an accepted and well-known scientific fact caused by something we haven't yet discovered or figured out. |

I've seen them in three different houses, 2 of the times other people saw them at the same time. All long stories but when I tell 2 of them it always gives people the shivers. And not a single time did any of the "ghosts" if thats what they were seem to care that I was around.

I have never experienced anything, but I know people who have, and I eat that shit up with a gilded spoon. Whether they are true or not, to hear the stories and to see that the person really believes it, it gives me goosebumps (even now as I type this). Great story Enob. I think I'd need therapy if I woke up to some phantom attacking me 3 times in a row.
