| kiksar, nice decor, i like the small furniture, it makes the place appear larger, especially with the white walls. the dark floor is great. i have some problems with the layout though, the bedroom in my opinion is too close to the kitchen. your sheets are going to smell like garlic and onions. also when someone is taking a nap, and the other person is cooking, its going to disturb the napper. of course if you seldom cook i suppose it wont be a problem. also, am i missing something...where is the TV? i noticed there isnt a place to crash on the couch and watch some tv ![]() |

| Kiksar, you could always do something like two apartment size couches / love seats facing each other towards the middle of the room near that bench and then the far part of the apartment (to the right when you walk in the door) turn into a work/study/computer area. I'm assuming you play games since you are on this forum. Then you could mount a plasma/lcd over the fireplace, or something. I like the place and think it'll be pretty workable as far as a living room area goes. Edit: ehhh.. might be a little tight for two love seats but still im sure you can figure something out. |

Did you design it yourself or hire a designer? it looks like American Arts and Crafts meets french country.

Actually all of the furniture has changed. Those pictures are a few months old from before we moved in. As far as color scheme goes the house was designed by the wife of the guy who lived here. You'll probably hate it now =P It's hard to tell but every wall is done in faux paint, or at least I believe that is the correct term. Below is a picture of the paint. I actually didn't like it at first but it's grown on me. Last edited by prescient63; 02-04-2009 at 08:09 PM..

+66 Internets | I know this is a minor nitpick about Kiksar's place, but it's more of a general comment anyway. I cannot for the life of me understand who in their right fucking mind thinks faucets like the one in his bathroom are even remotely attractive. /plumber off |

+5 Internets | Holy Christ, Kiksar, I love that fireplace. One thing I would love to have in my future home is an actual non electric fireplace. As a kid I remember chopping the firewood for our fireplace, listening to the wood popping in the fireplace, and the awesome smell...that's one thing I will always miss. |
