+3 Internets | Here are my current tats. Right arm is the buddhist mani with a Koi fish and the other is the aries symbol with the tibetan phrase "gding tsan can" meaning: "set in their ways, {gding} confidence, perverted sense of confidence, hard confidence, unchanging, unshakeable, stubborn" |

+3 Internets | On my right arm, with the mani, I am going for a "compassionate" feel. All down my arm will be some kind of henna design and on my forearm I will have the red picture. On my wrist it will be this quote: “Compassion is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you too.” On my left arm, with the aries symbol, I'm going with a more direct harsh feel. I will have a tribal design all down my arm but I am finding it difficult with locating a design that isn't the same fucking shit everyone gets. I will have the picture of the man with the flames around his head and this quote: "On the tip of my tongue an offensive is poised and rearing My intention a bullet, my body a trigger finger" Last edited by Tyen; 06-23-2008 at 08:52 PM.. |

+1 Internets | Those pretty awesome ideas. =P Absolutely, love the quotes. As earlier mentioned in this thread, I am also going to be a teacher, so there is only so much I can do at this time. I am going to be a first year teacher and I already have 2g plugs in my ears, and I am not sure how lenient my principal will be. I am going to be teaching 6th grade English. I know the foot is difficult, but if I could find someone who would do it amazing... It kinda goes with the meaning I have behind the tattoo, and really don't want it anywhere else.

+1 Internets | That is crazy! I did each step gradually, no blow-outs. I think in total it took me about 2-3 years to get where I am now.

+47 Internets | Oh, maybe someone can help me with a font. I was trying to find a font that looked: 1) Handwritten 2) Scratchy 3) Neurotic 4) still legible I want to do a Cthulhu tattoo, which is mostly comprised of grainy photos from newspapers, clippings from newspaper articles, shipping manifests, etc. However, I would also like it to be a very "wordy" tattoo that features a lot of my favorite Lovecraft quotes, which sort of leads into the type of font I'm looking for. Something that is readable, but captures the spirit of handwritting of someone who is loosing/ has lost their grip on sanity as the malevolent truths and horrors of the world overtake their consciousness. I tried just writing out the stuff myself, but alas it just doesn't look right. |

| I love your idea on the tats Tyen, thats kinda the angle i am going with when i find the right artist for my sleeve. Not really the same content in the text, but a classic quote wrapped into the artwork. funny enough.... I just got my ears done for the first time with a 10g....with plans of going up to 2-0g or so |

+3 Internets | Go gradually, every week go to the next step. Do it in the shower and soap up the earrings. Use a taper if it gets tough and don't skip gauges, not the best idea. You can get the same $30 pairs for $8 so don't waste the money unless you are able to. Best advice I could give. |

+1 Internets | Ebay is a great place to look for plugs. They are cheap, and get the job done until you can find the right size you want.

+1 Internets | Slight derail: I'm getting my family's arms on my back between my shoulder blades in ~2weeks. I'm sort of the last in a long branch of my family tree with our surname. There's some others, but they aren't from my line. Kk. Back to piercings! I have those too, but I'm not expanding them. p.s. first post ![]() |
