| So I went out to Newington to get my first gun today. They were having a big moving sale, and I figured if they had what I wanted I would walk out with it. Sure enough they had what I was looking for. Everything in the store was 10% off. Its an HK USP tactical in .45 acp. Havent been able to fire it, but ill be going to the range tomorrow to give it a whirl. Also got a holster since those were 30% off, figured i might as well. Inb4 "tacticool" |

| Heh yeah i was going to edit my post but i completely forgot. Paved roads was a dead give away. Anyway. I bought my gun saturday, and the range thats like 5 miles from my house is closed sunday and monday. Such a bummer to find that out saturday afternoon. Oh well, I have 200 rounds of .45 ready to go so im gonna hit up the range tomorrow to see how it goes. I kind of want to bring a girl with me, mostly because of the youtube videos of girls shooting large bore guns and then guys laughing. Not sure how I should go about that. Maybe ill bring 9mm as well. |

+2 Internets | So yeah, I used to be up to date on gun stuff but that stopped about 10 years ago. I still have a decent small collection but I'm out of date. Here is my question: I'm looking for a good .22 semi-auto plinker. I walked in to a gun shop for the first time in about 7 years today. Things I looked at were a Browning Buck Mark (used) for what I thought was too much, a Ruger Mk. I for silly money (600 ish), a couple Ruger Mk. II's for 400'ish which I thought was also a bit steep, and a Ruger Mk. III for like 350 which seemed 'eh'. I then got to look at some weird Walther .22 that was all Buck Rodgers and shit for a bit over 300 and also a Beretta Neos that seemed to fit my hand well for 250. I'm leaning towards the Neos but if anyone has had any negative experiences I'd like to know. A Beretta on the cheap makes me nervous though it did fit well. I have smallish hands.
