The beauty of being able to comment on web articles

So you can rate the articles written by (supposed) professional writers that are on Yahoo's site. Not only rate, but also add comments to them as well. The hilarity that ensues when the person writing is absolutely retarded and gives some of the worst advice to her readers is comedy gold.

esp. when the writer gives advice like this:

Quote:
2. Don't ask for time off, just take it.

When you need to leave work for a few hours or a few days, you don't need to ask for permission -- you're an adult, after all. Make sure your work is in good order and send an email to the relevant people letting them know you'll be gone.

This will seem discourteous to older people, who expect you to ask rather than tell. So be sure to give a reason why you're cutting out. People like to know they matter and where they stand.
http://finance.yahoo.com/expert/article/careerist/40342

some of the first few good responses:

"BTW...has her deadbeat husband found "meaningful employment" yet? Or is he still "volunteering" his time? Maybe his lazy ass is still on the sofa, eating bon bons and watching Oprah. Did the Trunks ever finish going to "marriage therapy"? Maybe a three-way with a beautiful big breasted blonde would get the Trunk marriage a boost. Looking at the way she writes her articles the A.D.D. meds are really messing with her mind. My true rating for this POS is a -5 stars. Take that PENELOPE!!!!!!!!!"

"This lady should be shot down. Penelope, Do you give blow jobs to your boss everyday?"

"This b1tch is crazy!"

"1 Star is the lowest I can go? Maybe I'll call Jack Welsh on Saturday night and tell him to be a friend on my facebook page. What a joke!!!"

What are you talking about? That is some great advice she is giving...

I mean you should really invite your CEO to facebook and take breaks at work whenever you feel like.

Yeah, and to not mind to get work calls on weekends is a good way to improve your quality of life.

Is someone actually paying that bitch to write that bullshit?

Is this a joke? I hope it is. If it is, then there's a rule 11. You indicate at the end of joke articles that they are jokes or you sound like an idiot. -Yahoo comment

I think that article is more of a guide for adults/newbies on how to act in an extremely casual business environment. She could have been a bit clearer in that regard.

Or I could be wrong and she could really be insane.

Read it, it's a joke... keep your headphones on at work, just tell people you'll be gone for a few days and take off, invite your CEO on facebook. It doesn't need a "hey, it's a JOKE" disclaimer - it's pretty obvious.

We've had quite a few threads around here that made it obvious to me that people throwing all logic out the window may still remain pretty serious in their insanity.

Never underestimate the power of stupid.

Well, it is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a joke, because its not at all written that way. There is no sarcasm, there are in fact some reasonable suggestions (like #7), but overwhelmingly bogged down in pure stupidity.
