Fuck fundies everywhere! Muslims aren't out to get us but a small powerful minority is and I very much hope the majority is able to curb them down. To take the case of Nazi Germany, they weren't all Nazis, a minority was hard-line but one day the majority woke up to find it the had lost control to the Nazis and the rest is history. The probably biggest difference to Nazi Germany is that in Germany, the majority of people did NOT know what was going on. I'm always shocked when I read one of his speeches heh, you'd think he's the most peace loving guy who just wants to defend his German brothers and sisters from oppression. (especially in those pre-WW2)

Hitler genuinely wanted peace with Great Britain. During the Battle of Dunkirk, he held back his Panzer divisions and the Luftwaffe, allowing a lot of the British army to escape. He hoped this would be a good sign of his intentions. If Chamberlain hadn't resigned earlier, or if he had suggested someone besides Churchill as a replacement(can't remember who the other serious candidate was), Hitler might have gotten peace with Great Britain.

Of the great powers of Europe, Hitler actually saw Great Britain as an ally, though I don't remember his reasoning. He only saw France and the USSR(because he wanted their land for "living space") as serious threats.

Ironically, the margin of difference between fundamentalist Christains and fundamentalist Muslims is pretty fucking small.
