+1 Internets | Never really had a small dog until we moved into our Condo. So we got a Yorkshire Terrier and a Jack Russel First picture is the Yorkie when we first got him and he was about 1lb. Second picture is him full grown at a whopping 5lbs. 3rd is the Jack Russel when we first go her, and the last is her beating up the Yorkie. |

| I am not expert, but wikipedia leads me to believe this might be an oriental shorthair ebony-ticked tabby (Oriental cat) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. |

| The girlfriend and I just got our first cat a couple months ago, her name is Thelonious, we call her Theo for short most of the time. She is an odd-eyed Turkish Van... we think.. at least that is what the people we got her from said she was: ![]() ![]() Is she a Turkish Van.. or just a Tabby? Lemme know Cat Expert(s).

Totally awesome breed hehe, almost doglike in some ways (Osiris plays fetch, will go out on a leash, is the most affectionate, friendly animal I think I've ever had, and freakishly smart hehe). Got this one from my grandmother who got them from a breeder who was retiring. The breeder said she typically sells the kittens for $1000-$1200, but I don't know if she was full of it or not hehe.

That said, your cat may still have turkish van genes. The breed is known for it's fondness for swimming. Odd-eyed cats also have a higher chance of being born deaf or going deaf as they age. I wouldn't let it out on the street if it was deaf because it's bound to get run over.

My Cat pictured in my first post, Max, is a total mutt. Tortoise Shell short haired mom, grey short haired dad. Interestingly in that litter he had one brother who was almost identical to him, and two sisters who were both fully black short hairs. And he's the spitting definition of a mainecoon. Talkative through chirping noises, long thick coat, fur over growing on feet, tufts off tips of ears, his coloring pattern, and his behavior. (uses his paws like hands) Outside of truly pure breeding there is A LOT more random mutation in Cats compared to dogs which very consistently will carry over a mix of traits from both parents without anything new.
