+5 Internets | Ok this is interesting... Justin.tv this guy videos all his daily activities... all day long... 24/7. He will answer his cell phone too, there's all kinda of people who call him for shout outs and etc etc. This could really be fun b/c when he answers he always answers with speakerphone. I say give him teh FOH love! His cell is 415-948-3219. I'll be watching and maybe calling to bust his nuts sometime soon

+31 Internets | This will only be cool if he's some playa that gets a lot of tail. Even then, he'd be doing it at night when I'm either sleeping for work the next morning, or pursuing tail of my own. How about THAT pun.

+5 Internets | I thought it was kind of cool for like 5 minutes. Then he went and took a shit, which was so unnecessary... at least turn the fucking sound off hellszz (BTW he has expressed many times now that he is really scared that someone is going to call his Mom, if anyone cares)

+19 Internets | I think it'd be a lot cooler if Justin was more active or actually planned some shit out that would be exciting for the viewer. Other then phone calls and occasional chat he largely ignores his audience. If you're going to do something like this, even if it's just a tech demo type deal, you have to have some kind of entertainment or interaction going on. |

I'm curious what kind of interaction you're looking for Zarcath. Do you want to vote on what he wears or eats or something? I'm probably just reading too much into what you said but it really sounds to me like you're wanting him to turn his whole life into of one of those so called reality tv shows. If that's the case, you're kinda missing the point. This IS reality that he's showing you, and *gasp* it's not all that exciting without a demographic specific soundtrack and a camera cut every 1.5 seconds and hot camwhore chicks (or dudes if that's the way you swing) everwhere. | ||

+19 Internets | Well, in any type of project that has people spectating, you should endeavour to make it fun for them to watch. Not necessarily try tailor every moment of your life into super happy fun time. Imagine if Wrestlers just fought in the ring and didn't pay any attention to the crowd at all. Just walked in, wrangled and left, without a word or gesture to the fans. Theres times where he'll completely ignore the camera and leave viewers high and dry. When they were playing GoW the camera was angled in such a way that we couldn't see what was going on because of the glare/reflection. He had a position for a few minutes where we could watch them play but abandoned it after a few minutes. There was technical difficulties with the camera, we were only getting audio, but we had no idea what was going on. Even as a business person, he should have put up a post or said something verbally that there was a problem and they were working on fixing it. Their chat system is shitty enough already that when the video or audio isn't working it makes the whole project fustrating to participate in. When they switched to a camcorder and left it stationary, at one point both Justin and Michael left the room without saying anything and turned the camera onto "some dude" who was on his laptop and wasn't doing shit. This went on for 30 minutes before Michael came back and panned the cam back to him, and then justin came back, who we had thought went to bed. It's just shit like that, that makes it seem like he's inconsiderate to the viewers. I think this project would have more success with a different subject, someone more active in the community and with the viewers. Just because they came up with this doesn't necessarily make them the best subjects to display it. |

| And again, in comparing this to wrestling, it seems like you're not really appreciating this for what it is, and wishing that it's something that it's not. I have to agree that setting up a cam-corder and leaving the room for 30 minutes is pretty retarded, but he also sleeps for several hours every day at least too. Are you going to complain about that next? I mean, he's letting you watch almost every single thing he does all day and you call him inconsiderate for not doing more than that? As it is, you already care enough to have watched long enough to get to know peoples' names. My 2 cents is: give HIM feedback, and then give him time. He's only been broadcasting for 3 days, hardly enough time to perfect what it is that he wants to accomplish. And if feedback and patience fail, offer money. That's what I'm curious about personally. How much and what kind of sponsorship and endorsment deals is this guy going to end up with? |
