+16 Internets | One thing that's always amazing to me about baseball games is that so few people get hurt by them. Flying bats are one thing, their just so rare. By fly balls, homeruns etc are not only common, but fans will rush and shove to get in front of them. Catching a ball with your hands isn't a simple task when it achieves those speeds, and frequently the ball will pass through people and bounce off the floor. But so rare do you hear about someone getting hit by the balls. Sometimes the ball doesn't land in the stands so much as it is launched, and the fans are allowed less than a second to react. Baseball would be more interesting if there were more injuries. |
