it was fun, but oh god the disconnects.... some fucking tree walks into camp and AE's, 60% of the zerg go LD.

We got over 300 people Flagged by that Gnome in Plane of Innovation once and I think we brought 260 to Grummus. I know we had 140 or something for Aerin Dar.

Before they put in flag limitations PoP easily had the greatest Zerg attacks in history.

Oh yah, we called it the DFR - Drinal Flag Rebellion.

the biggest raid i was ever at was pre kunark and one i had formed, probably the biggest raid in Emarr's history. The Jboots NPC in rathe mountains wasnt always up. he could be killed by players and depopped on his own. his PH is some random trash and Brother Zephyl. for some reason Brother Zephyl was never depopping and he was getting stuck on a boulder. this went on for months, tons of threads had people complaining they couldnt turn in for their Jboots.

i decided to form a raid to take Brother Z down. i posted on the server board that in a week there would be a massive raid on this NPC. all chars of all levels were welcome to attend and assist in killing this monster. the goal was either kill his ass or have enough people in the zone to crash it down and have the Jboots guy come back up on repop.

when the day of the raid came it was crazy. 250 people in the same zone, this was prekunark, broadband connections were not the norm. there were some lv 50s but most were lower. some as low as lv 15. everything was moving in snapshots, the lag had to be about a minute behind. i somehow got everyone to form around Brother Z.

i counted down til the fight. 3 2 1. ATTACK!!! for 10 or 20 seconds things looked sweet , everyone was ripping on BZ. most spells were bouncing but the melee hits were doing its damage. people were dropping like flies. but his lifebar was going down. i think we got him to almost halfway when i got the, YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED! screen.

ahh shit, well at least we crashed the zone. we couldnt back in at first. everyone at the raid logged into the emarr chat channel at the server select. some people said they got him down to 30% before they got discoed. little by little, people were able to log in. i got in. i was still alive i guess because my lv 50 shaman spells didnt do dick to his threat level. and there zigzagging on the top of that rock was Brother fucking Zephyl! fuuuuuck!

some months later in Kunark during the summer, the raid guild i joined i was able to convince them to help me get revenge on BZ. we brought 8 or so guildies . with a small crew, 10 extra levels, good clerics and totally kickass gear/spells, brother zephyl went down like a little bitch. what a difference one expansion can make. ahh good times

and damnit someone's gotta have those pics of BoR zerging Tormax. I know way back when someone even came here and flamed them for it.
