New comp problem?

Sup folks, didn't know where to ask this but I am shooting blanks atm.

I've been a loyal Geforce user for a while but I got an amazing deal on an Acer Ferrari and it has an ati Mobility Radeon 9700 drivers. I checked the ATI site or whatever and used the catalyst driver checker and it said that my computer was not compatible for catalyst mobility or something.

Its an AMD 64 if that helps?

Laptop drivers are different from desktop drivers, generally you can't install one instead of the other.

I don't own an Ati card but I'm reasonably sure that if you go to the here on the ati site and then go Windows XP Drivers & Software > Notebooks with ATI Graphics > Catalyst Mobility 5.12 those are the ones you need.
