+1 Internets | It will show you how it owns you The thinking machine This thing is insane! I can't beat it. Hell, I can't get more than a couple of its pieces. The bad part is that the thing shows you what it's going to do before it does it. I'll be trying my hand against this thing some time later, but wow. I've never seen a machine that I can't beat before. |

| Got pretty far with kings pawn. Both queens down in relatively equal exchange. Both of us had the corner guard with king/castle exchange. I was the aggressor and then he stunned me with a freak pawn dash that I wasn't prepared for and I lost position. I did manage to exchange checks and gain some position back but after that pawn move he had gained too much and I couldn't come back. My mistake though. The graphics of the pieces certainly threw me off since I am used to traditional chess piece graphics. Seems to be about medium difficulty equal to that of the more common programs you can download that don't use advanced engines. Most of them just anticipate moves + outcomes for x amount of turns and then make the most powerful move available, usually based on exchange values and position on the board. The more advanced engines factor in opening and other strategies, making them more difficult. Roll them all up into 1 and calculate the game to its end each time then you have IBMs deep blue. |

+25 Internets | EDIT: answering Galiem You must not be very good at chess then, because I suck and have not played in years and did not come that far from winning... But the thinking thing looks good.

| It's cheating for me, it's not allowing me to do a perfectly legal queen move to put him in check.
