I dont quite understand it..but if your one of those that have knowledge in weaponry and all that military stuff...Fill me in this is hot shit ![]() Looks like a UFO blew that shit up Video can be found here: http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/irspotlight.html Last edited by Bizantium : 08-05-2005 at 05:09 PM. |

2) Dunno what they're shooting at, but what initially fires sounds like a Warthog gunship (it's a fairly good sized plane - definitely not a helicopter heh). They fly over us and fire rounds off all the time when we're doing field problems (I'm right next to Pope Air Force Base in NC). The guns shoot so hard that it causes the plane to stall when firing (that's why it's only in small bursts like that). 3) I guess they're firing supressive fire on whatever they're trying to blow up. I don't really see a reason to burn off rounds unless they see guys running away. Obviously the gunship did a pretty good job of blowing the shit up anyway. | |

| I feel like posting this pic just because. I took a video of two other members in my section firing the 60mm mortar (I had just fired it),last month in July then captured the frame where the round was coming out of the tube. ![]() I'm a week's leave, I'm going back up tomorrow for an advanced weapons course. It's going to be fucking awesome .Doesn't the A-10 use 30mm rounds? I don't quite remember. |

| That looks a hell of a lot like Piney Island, range BT-11 out here at Lejeune.... Air/Naval Gunfire Liaison Company uses it as a call-for-fire range. Not saying for sure that's it but it sure as hell looks a lot like it. Those "balls" are tracer rounds. |

| Correction Jait: The Canadian government is all about peace, and so is the civilian population. Our Soldiers? Far from it. We're aggressive motherfuckers and we can prove it. I like our new chief of defense staff, he told the public how it was: "We are not the public service of Canada, we are not another department, we are the Canadian Forces, and our job is to be able to kill people" I believe a lot of things will change in the next couple of years. |
