digitally done. Look at the legs when it rises. When the head rises from the ground you can see the person's shoulders too.

The right hand is fake. When he/she is getting up near the end you can see the right arm inside moving.

It's 2 short people and a stick, thats an old trick but only works from the front view. I remember seeing how that was done on TV years ago.

I watched this show quite a few times when in China and Japan and nothing is done digitally since it is performed in front of a live audience. It's just ordinary Japanese people getting very creative, hoping the audience scores them high enough so that they win.

This is the same show that did the Matrix Ping-Pong, the ostrich, the fan, and about half a dozen other clips floating around the internet. I forgot the name of the show, but I wish I had them on DVD, as the amount of originality and creativity on this show makes it spellbinding to watch.

Its just one person. I'd say its a wireframe setup to fit into the shoulders, and one hand manipulates it, while the other holds the fake hand in the other sleeve to give up the appearance. If you watch close enough, you can see parts where a hand under the dress moves around.

Pretty nicely done though.

Yeah it looked like a wireframe shoulders and stuff... especially with how it collapses, that'd be easy to do.

That's definitely not Japanese. I hate it when Americans call anything asian and wacky Japanese. From the letters and the sound of the language, it definitely sounds Thai.
