Alpine has a great team that can do almost anything. I know a bunch of those guys and used to work with some of them. The team has about 8 differant cars like that now and sponsors a new one each year.

That is quite possibly the coolest fucking thing I have ever seen.

Which guy here was trying to do this to his van? The bar has been raised, my friend.

Edit: woops, not a Focus, a Civic.

That was me heh. Thats not at all the look im going for. I dont just show my van, I drive it daily and want to keep it functional. I used to build cars like that for a living. Ofcourse that was 12 years ago when fiberglass fabrication was still new. In fact one of the guys who worked on that car above is still a good friend of mine and has worked (rather, consulted) on my last concept van.

That car above is all show and no go. It's only purpose is to sell alpine products. It has multiple head units, and only one is even operational. The guages are mispositioned and unreadable. Cars like that are just rolling billboards. The only time they are even started is to drive from their show position back to the storage truck to be shipped to the next show.

As far as my van goes, I have some really nice custom fibergass fabrication and leatherwork planned out, but right now I just dont have the extra time or money to sink into it. Im looking to buy a house in a few months with a full garage where I can actaually move my tools in and set up a nice workshop for my hobbies. I'll be doing some more wood fabrication in a few weeks though, i'll post pics when the new work begins. Nothing crazy.

That car is pretty bad ass, but I hate when actual images are drawn on the sides of cars. It is way too ghetto.

I'd drive it if I wasn't worried about having seizures every time I look around the interior.

Oh and what somebody else said... I'd rather have the blue with some mild patterns on the exterior instead of the mermaid thing.

That's almost a year or more old now isn't it? I remember seeing those pictures in a magazine or something quite awhile back.

Yeah, that was last years alpine car, came out around may. The new one should be out soon.

Thats the problem, while that car has a nice flashy paint job and a lot of custom fiberglass work, it lacks any kind of real originality. Its been done hundreds of times over and they all start to look the same.
Nowadays, it takes some serious fabrication on the exterior as well as interior to impress the automotive guru. That requires body stretching, lowering, chopping, hydrilics, robotics and basically anything that "hasn't been done yet". I'me really hoping to see some new concepts this year. I hear the new Alphasonic car is gonna be insane this year.
