I saw an episode on mad tv where they did an ashlee recording bit and after she began singing, which sounded like a pig taking it in the ass, they turned a knob from paula abdul, to jlo to britney spears level, where it maxed out.

But you see, ashlee just won a major award on some award show - I don't care enough to remember which one. These award shows, of course, are put on by the recording companies.

And, it doesn't matter if she has talent - all this publicity about her having no talent and getting booed. She has made a lot of money for them, will continue to sell albums with this publicity and maybe, just maybe eventually the boos will catch up with the bulk of her audience and cause them to revolt and burn her cds.
