yeah, I've seen a few videos posted of bush just making an ass out of himself, but this one takes the cake, not sure if it's ever been posted or how old it is.. but here it is

I hate Bush as much as the next blue blooded American but I sorta sympathize with him on this one. Why should he care about native American tribal sovereignty? We juked them out of all their stuff a LONG time ago. It's the sovereign governments of the Middle East he is focused on...removing.

The real problem with what he said there is he proclaimed Indians were "Given sovereignty". The fact is, Native Americans had full sovereignty while Bush's ancestors were roaming the wilderness of Europe clad in antelope skins.

*Shrug* What can you expect though, this is coming from the same guy who claims he gave the "Iraqi people a working government" even though the Iraqi people were building the cities before people had even made it as far north as Europe.

Politically active Native Americans, which is like all of them have just been ostracized ladies and gentlemen.

Now I know why he didn't talk to the NAACP. His crew was probably afraid he would slip up and say something like "The African people were given a free ride over to this country, thats across the entire Atlantic ocean friends. If you try to do that today expect to spend atleast 400 dollars. Per Person."

This country from a political standpoint is nothing but a bunch of interest groups looking out for their people. Politicians know this, the interest groups know this.

While tribal sovereignty has little impact on 21st century policy Bush still won't outright say it is irrelevant.

Why? Sure nobody gives two shits about the vote of a few of uppity Indians but if he tells one interest group to go to hell the rest might fear they are next.

Jews and using the Holocaust to support an Israeli state and reparations?

The High Melanin inclined and Slavery to push equal opportunity and reparations?

Indians and Tribal sovereignty allowing them to have increased independence from state and federal government?

This could all be looked at as water under the bridge but interest groups thrive on it so it stays. If a president wants minority votes he needs to make it clear that their "sorrow fraught histories" will be engrained into every last little cracker child their entire school careers.

This is all fine and dandy with me, it's how politics work. My problem is Bush is so fucking inept that he can't even kiss ass right.

The thought that some president in the far-flung future will make a gross historical error while talking about the Holocaust like Bush did with Indians in that clip makes Jews piss their pants. And Jews with piss in their pants encave skulls'o plenty.

If some black guy had asked Bush if "the 13th amendment entailed reparations for people of color" and Bush declaring "I forget, which amendment is that?" he would be in DEEP shit. Him not knowing what tribal sovereignty is in some depth is just as blatent of a flaw if not more since it actually has some relevance in several states.

What is really funny is Bush is trying to place a democracy in Iraq...a country which has several parts completely controlled by tribal factions. If he does not know how the federal government interacts with tribes in the United States how the fuck is he going to relate Iraqi tribal leadership with the government he is trying to get going there?
